Prayers for MARIO DE CASTRO of SIC HS Batch 1970 January 19, 1954 - April 10, 2009



UPDATE : Mario's Interment will be on April 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. proceeding from the St. Peter's Memorial Chapel, then to the Church of San Ildefonso de Toledo and finally at the Haven of Rest Memorial Park.

The video above and photo below were taken before midnight of April 13, with the permission of Amabel De Castro-Alcantara HS 68, Mario's eldest sister while the Holy Rosary was being prayed with singing by young Ildefonsians in between Mysteries. Outside of the Chapel, more friends gathered to mourn with Mario's Family, many of them Ildefonsians, too.

Prayers for Rosa Blanca Garcia - Pagalunan of SIC HS Batch 1972 Joined he Lord on April 1, 2009 at the age of 56 years.


With my son, I visited Rosa Blanca Garcia-Pagalunan's Vigil at the St. Peter Memorial along MH del Pilar St. in Tanay, on the way to Manila tonight and her husband Bert, and two (of four) of their children, Prince and Rosal, both Ildefonsians were there, too. One of their children, working in Korea will arrive tomorrow. The date of interment has been set on April 12, 2009 but the exact time has yet to be arranged. With their permission, I have taken this photo.

On behalf of the Officers and Members of the SICAA, I have extended our pledge of Prayers for Rosa Blanca and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Prayers for Emerson E. Ferrera of SIC HS Batch 1994


Emerson Ferrera of SIC HS Batch Batch 2004 who was born on January 23, 1978, joined the Lord on January 25, 2009 at the age of 31 years. He will be laid to rest on February 3, 2009 Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at the Baras Municipal Cemetery. His Wife and baby Daughter, Mother , Brothers and Sisters, Relatives Classmates and Friends are holding vigil for him at the Ferrera Home in Baras, Rizal along the National Road.

Prayers for Architect Remedios "Baby" Fulgueras of SIC HS Class of 1955


Architect Remedios "Baby" Fulgueras of SIC HS Class of 1955 recently passed away in the United States and her remains after being brought to the Philippines has been interred at Tanay Rizal yesterday October 29, 2008.

The picture above was taken during the New Year's Eve Ball held in Honor of Balikbayans on December 31, 1997 which was scanned from one of the pages of the San Ildefonso College 1997 Golden Jubilee Yearbook.

Architect Remedios "Baby" Fulgueras of SIC HS Class of 1955 who is third from left is shown together with Mr. Bonnie Tesoro SIC HS Class 1954, Dra. Milagros R. Ninonuevo SIC HS Class 1955 and Mrs Aludia Herrera-Ramos SIC HS Class 1950, then President of SICAA USA Chapter.

Let us all pray for the peaceful repose of her soul and offer our warm condolences to her family.

Yesterdy, October 28, 2008, on the Feaast of St.Jude Thaddeus, Armina Dagar-Tejada who was born on July 8, 1968, one of our fellow Ildefonsians passed away at the age of 40. Her body lies at San Isidro Funeral Homes, at Sampaloc Road, Plaza Aldea, Tanay, Rizal.INTERMENT WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2008 AT 11:30 A.M. AT THE TANAY MUNICIPAL CEMETERY.

Let us all pray for the peaceful repose of Armina, and offer our condolences and sympathies to her family many of whom are Ildefonsians.

The Officers and Members of the San Ildefonso College Alumni Association (SICAA) offer Prayers for the Peaceful Rejoining of Armina with her Creator and Warm Condolences to her Family of Ildefonsians.

This photo taken by mc_sicaa in the evening of October 30, 2008 shows the remains of Carmina Dagar-Tejada HS Batch 1985 with her family from left her sisters Analyn Dagar (seating) SIC HS Elem. 1990 HS 1995, Arlyn Dagar-Catampatan SIC HS 1982 College 1988, Abella Dagar-Estebar SIC HS 1989, her brother Ariel Dagar SIC HS 1982, her mother Amparo of SIC HS Batch 1962, her husband Rossel H. Tejada of SIC College Batch 1991 . Armina's father, Alfredo C. Dagar has previously passed away and she left a written wish that she be buried near her Daddy.

Also shown in the above photo are Armina's four children, from left Josh Russel - 10 years old, Prince Andrie - 5 years old, John Brix - 8 years old and only daughter Ariane Ross - 11 years old. All of Rossel and Carmina's children are now studying at a public elementary school.

Armina had a kidney transplant on January 29, 1993 when she was still in elementary school. Her kidney donor is her sister Abella. She met her husband in the SIC College Department where both of them obtained their degrees in Education. Armina devoted her life to teaching, an accomplished Alumna of San Ildefonso College.
